Web hosting giant DreamHost.com has decided to merge all of it’s packages leaving you with only one option when you sign up. The new package is priced similarly to their former entry level package (”Crazy Domain Insane”), but has double the disk space and monthly bandwidth.
You’ll still have to pay extra for phone support, a unique IP, VPN access, etc.
I’ve emailed DreamHost support to see if existing customers are eligible to receive this package, but have yet to hear back.
Update:
You can always change plans whenever you’d like. That being said, your
disk space and bandwidth will be doubled on your current plan if you do
nothing. It will take us a little while to roll out that change to all
customers though. If you’d like, go ahead to your manage accounts paged
and edit your plan to ‘upgrade’ to the new plan. You will be credited for
all unused time on your current plan prior to being charged for the new
plan.
