I wrote here about a cool way to lock your 1Password keychain, but I haven’t really personally been thrilled with that solution. I decided to delve into Xcode and write my first application.
The first beta of version 1 is available here:

Functionality includes locking the 1Password keychain and activating fast user switching to “lock” the screen.
Known Issues
The menu bar has not been customized in any way. I know how to fix this I just need time.
The icon is only 128×128 instead of the new standard, 512×512. I have the icon in vector form but I need to find a good free vector editor (eps, specifically). I don’t have Adobe Illustrator. If you have a suggestion, please pass it on. Free is good as I don’t plan on making any money from this program and I’ve already spent $14 and some time on it.
Only tested on Leopard (Intel). If you can test on PPC / Tiger that would be appreciated as well. I do have an iMac that still has Tiger on it so I can do some testing as well.

If you go to Keychain Access (Utilities folder I think) and go to its preferences, there is a tick box for showing an icon in the menu bar. From there, you can lock any keychain or lock the screen.
Just thought I’d mention it
