As some of you may have noticed I started micro-blogging on Twitter again. I just recently setup a Wordpress plugin here to have my posts there imported automatically once per day. Pretty cool stuff.

If you’ve been watching that space you may have noticed that I recently decided to leave my position at SideStream Media. This is mostly due to the amount of time I was able to dedicate to SideStream projects. I felt I was doing the company a disservice by staying on and holding a position with any real responsibility with the lack of time I was able to invest. My official last day is going to be July 23^rd, 2008, unless we amend our partnership agreement before then. It was a difficult decision to leave, but I think in the end it will work out better for everyone.
It sounds like Jordan will be continuing on with the business, and I wish him the best. There aren’t any hard feelings on my end and I would be willing to help out on future projects.
This week is officially the last week of classes for me. It’s been very stressful so far. Every single one of my classes has at least one exam this week. Again, if you’ve been watching my twitter stream or away messages on AIM, you’ll probably have noticed that Western Civilizations is my biggest stressor at the moment.

The exam for it is two essays which have to be memorized and written in class. I got the first one down. I did it on the Renaissance artists, Raphael, da Vinci, and Michelangelo… not particularly interesting stuff, but not too difficult. The hardest part of course was memorizing all of it. I filled two whole “blue books” (essay examination books, for those not familiar) with it. The second essay I haven’t even started yet… (the exam is tomorrow). I have the choice of writing it on The City of God, Muhammad and the development of Islam, or the development of Christianity. None of which are topics I would particularly enjoy writing about.

Also stressful is trying to figure out where to live next semester. I would really like to get a two bedroom apartment with my current roommate, Spencer. Both of our sets of parents are fighting that somewhat though. My parents really want me to live in the dorms at MCC, and his parents really want him to live home (from what I hear).

And then I haven’t even begun trying to figure out my work schedule for the summer yet. What I think I’ll end up doing is M, W, F at LCS from 9 - 3 ish, and then T, TH from 9 - 5 for Hurricane (between Avon and Angio) and then covering the Hurricane store from 10 - 1 on Saturdays. Hopefully that’ll leave time for 10 - 20 hrs / week for Agile Web Solutions.

I think I need a vacation. Canada with Mike and Jena?
